Just wondering if anybody on the forum hastried a painted inner fairing with a contrasting color. I been thinking about going with either a black pearl inner fairing on vivid black bike, or maybe even red to match some of the trim but don't want it to look weird. Love the painted look but don't want any more vivid black to dust off if ya know what I mean.

If anyone has pics that would be great. Thanks

 

IMO I would possibly go with the dominant color of a two tone paint scheme. Other than that, I would pass. You might want to check out a whole lotta' bike mags.

 

I went with vivid black with fine metalflake on my white bike; it pops in daylight. Also, ShovelheadBob did one in two-tone (IIRC fire red pearl and black on a trike). Haven't seen any with contrast. Could probably have some pinstriping done that would look good, also.

 

I'm painting mine just like the one that shovelheadBob posted here a bit ago. It will look like all the panels on my scoot. The inside will be black and the outside will be copper, complete with the pinstriping.

 

I would like to see a carbon fiber inner fairing. Any body know of one?

 

j&p cycles has carbon fiber inserts also saw a lot of painted inner fairing in hot biker bagger edition. for ideas i went with color match.
