I've got a CB650 and a CB360 I haven't ridden in years. The inside of the 360's tank had a very minimal amount of rusty discoloration and when I asked around I was told to keep it full of gas and it wouldn't rust. I bought a brand new tank for the CB650 in 1993 and filled it up with Amoco Ultimate and Stabil before storing it. Well life happens and I had not paid any attention to it until 2004. I found 1/3 of gas had evaporated down in the tank and with condensation forming on the inside on the tank from the remainder of the cold gas the tank has rusted from the inside out. Now it a perfectly scratch free tank with big ugly rust bumps all over the top section. I WOULD DRAIN THE TANK!!!!!

ORIGINAL: NICK56

Ive had many mcys over many years.. Im in NY. cold winters here. Mcy is in an unattached non heated garage. It seems colder in the garage than the outside temp.. I take the battery out. Bring it in my basement and put it on a battery tender. I only change the oil if its time for an oil change. Cover the mcy. NoSta Bil.. the mcy only sits for 90 to 120 days max... Late Nov to Daytona - March) Never had any issues. Do Not put your cleaning towels on the seat. The Meeces love to sleep there! Good luck.

Same here except I am in New Hampshire

Make sure when you add a fuel stabilizer that you actually start the bike up and get it into the fule line carb/fuel injection so itdoesn't gum up.

SEAFOAM is the cat's meow. I used to have an auto parts store and sold Sta-bil and Seafoam and I sold Seafoam 20-1 over Sta-bil.

Seafoam has sooooo many ther uses besides a winter/summer gas additive. I use it in everything that uses gasoline.
