Nothing wrong with using Sta-Bil in a full fuel tank when in storage as far as I know, maybe I've been misinformed on something about it. I use Sta-Bil every fall when laying-up allthe seasonal stuff for thewinterincluding the RK and haven't had any issues yet.

Make sure you get lots of wax on chrome and stainless parts to protect from oxidation. Made this mistake two years ago with my RK in NJ. Rode it all year till salt went on roads. Put in detached, unheated garage and spent 2 grand in the spring rechroming my forks and front Weld rim.

Sta-bil works, I've known many who use it. However if your storage is for an extended period of time (4+ months) Sta-bil really stinks when you start the engine, and in my experience the engine really runs rough until you get fresh gas in it. I've used Yamaha fuel conditioner for the last 10 years, in my opinion its only better because when you start it in the spring the bike runs as smooth as when you put it away. I use the Yamaha product in my lawn mowers and other gas engines. Since there is a Yamaha shop near where I live its easy to get. I think with all the different options its just a matter of personal preference....they all work and are all better than nothing.

The only thing I haven't seen mentioned was fogging the motor.
I done this as marine machanic and still do it today to all my toys that go for a long winter nap.
I also do it while running to coat the upper end of the valve train.
We always did this to I/O and outboards.
