Default You know it's gettin chilly in the Northeast

You know its the end of the year and getting chillyhere in NY when scoots are starting to get rare on the road.

Rode the RKC in this morning from eastern Long Island to work in Canarsie, Brooklyn.31 degrees when I left, rode the 56 miles in and didn't see one other bike on the road. Dam that sucks!

What great ride though, that morning chill will let you know your alive. I love this time of year. Fall foliage is awesome. Little cold on the finger tips, probably need some heated gloves, while I'm at it I'll probably buy a heated jacket liner for me and the wifey too. I was fine without one today but a couple more degrees south of this and it'll be time for one.

Let me just say now that all my bretheren livin down south who are gonna reply how nice and warm it is down by you, YOU SUCK! (lol)

Be safe and keep livin the Ezlife!

Every time I think about winterizing I can't bring myself to do it. I have fogger, sta-bil, oil, tender, cover, all on a shelf near the bike ready to go and everytime I walk in I say not yet...not yet...and keep ridin day by day.

Now if I was up north by you, I guess I'd have no choice. I'm sure the snow's comin if you haven't had it already.

Come on guys its nowhere near cold enough not to ride. every sunday theres a polar bear ride to somewhere. las week we went to Delaware , yesterday{sunday} we had a ride to oldbridge n,j,. nice crisp sunny morning. only about 400 showed up. then we took a short ride down to point pleasent to look at the ocean. what a day. you need to get set up for these rides thou. I did have my heated gloves on for a while but once it gets over 45 degrees, its just reg gloves. leather, sweatshirt and a tee , a head covering of some type light enough to let you be comfortable and a heavy pair of jeans and you'll be good to go. I'll ride with my buddys till it gets in the single didgits. after that its not fun its surrival.

I ride most everyday. I'm in until there's snow on the ground. I just thought it strange that in over 50 miles this morning I saw no bikes at all.

The teens were cold this past winter without some heated gear, maybe I'm gettin old, I'll invest for this winter. Just fyi...wife rode throughout lastwinter with me, she's a keeper.
