Beautiful fall here, high at 80 yesterday and got down to thehigh 50's last night. Very nice driving weather with little to no bugs.

Fair weather riders
Tell you what -- it was 26 degrees at my house this morning when it was time to leave for work. That's just too cold for me. Sorry, call me a pu$$y fair weather rider if it makes you feel good.

I was out yesterday for a few hours (temps somewherearound 45), but headed for home when my fingers started getting cold. I have insulated gloves, but not heated. I was also wearing heavyweight long underwear, thermal socks and shirt. I had the liner in my jacket with the attached fleece neck scarf thing (a nice feature of the liner that I appreciated yesterday). And (how gay) chaps. Other thana little discomfort in the fingers after a few hours, I was fine.

I onlysaw three or four other bikes on the road all afternoon. When I was almost home, I passed by a local tavern and saw three (no fairing/windshield) bikes parked in front, and I was thinking that those guys would probably be freezing their asses off on the way out, which is probably why they were parked instead of out riding in the first place

Holy S$%&, I live in sunny and warm NH. My pond was skimmed over the last two mornings. Skimmed as in ice.

Hang in there EZ!!!

I'm still riding in the Frozen Tundra (NE Wisc.). Been as low as 21F + wind chill.

I keep going until the salt flies.

300 miles this past weekend - only saw two scoots!!!

I am lucky that in the Southeastern part of PA there are days during the winter that you can ride. We get snow but not a lot and when we do get it the roads are clear in a day or so. I ran heated plumbing to my outside hose so I can have the hose hooked up year round. That was when I do ride in the winter I can wash off the salt. For the past 10 years I have been able to ride every month at least once during the winter. Having heated gear is key to a lot of this riding. I was against it for years but was talked into trying it by some folks that swear by it. Now, so do I. I even added heated grips. Don't winterize, accessorize (heated grips, gear and seats).
