RE: Sirius Radio install, a different approach...
yep, i am using the cigarette lighter for power. I ran the wire for the antenna all the way to the back of the bike and have the antenna mounted on a little piece of metal I attached under the CB antenna. All the wires slide down easily between the windshield and the fairing behind the pouch the receiver is in. I only listen to a couple of channels so I don't do a lot of meesing around with the tuning. Most of the time I keep it on Sirius 74, the blues channel.

Hey TCP...are you powering the radio from the cigarette lighter? Where is the antenna? Are you plugging into the auxilliary input on the radio? I want Sirius on my SG!

RE: Sirius Radio install, a different approach...
I might try that but I have doubts it wil work. My signal is pretty weak in these parts. It looks like I am right in between two zones on the Sirius sattellite map. I lose my signal a lot on the back roads around here riding between the trees etc. It only works good for me if I am out in the open, like on the freeeway.

Best place for the Antenna is on top of the Radio under the fairing. Works great, just using the magnet to hold in place.
Been there for 7K miles now.
