Everyone and their brother ends up getting a king. The glide is a sleek bike but more comfy for touring if you desire.
I don't know, it sure seems like I see alot more Glides riding around than Road Kings these days! Especially with the advent of the Street Glide, seems like everyone and their mother has one.

I have a RK, and am investing some money in it but I tell you now that if they come out with a CVO RG tomorrow the wifes Sporty, the ATV's and a few nice guns will have to go, no matter the $$$ pain or ear pain.

Study this out carefully... there are limits as to what HD will let you do to thenew 08s, as in warranty. Also, the 07s still have some unhappy owners, and former owners. As the reality sets in, there will be more and more bikes of all years at reasonable prices, have seen about 10 bikes with than 1000 miles..., so you do not have to go new to get a nice bike... the plus on 08 is a warranty for 2 years..., (if you keep it stock and do not plan on doing anything to void the warranty) ...As far as a RK or SG, get what you like as you are the one that has to look at it everyday. I walk out numerous times many times aday and look at my FLHR and FLHS, and am so glad I own what I have...NEVER did thatmy FLHTC.... great bike, but did not love the fairing and tour pac look...

Good luck

You have already owned a rk, so you know how versatile they are. Plus, with the king, you can buy a fairing and remove it when you want to. My vote is for the king, of the two options you gave. That being said, those rg are really growing on me.

If you like a RK you can pick up a low mileage 03 SERK that comes with all the chrome and a 103" engine for somewhere around 18-20K, and I mean 3 to 5,000 miles. That's a lot of bike for the money.

IMO, the RK is a better looking bike. That said, I went with a SG for every other reason.

I like my RKC. And my mother doesn't have a Glide either.

I love the look of the street glides, but I also love the look of the road kings, any model of them, to me they look like a harley more than any other. Remember , I said I love the look of the street glides, so don't bash me

Are you saying that the '08s have a different warranty than other years?

There are unhappy owners of every year, not just '07s. Can't please everyone.
