Default RE: true duals or not ?

My questions are...
[ul][*]Is it worth the cost of true duals for the heat issue? My main concern is getting rid of the heat.[*]Can I still use the SE slip-ons? ( I like the sound) Dont really want to buy new mufflers yet.[*]SERT or PC III? (considering warranty issues) I have no idea which way to go. Seems it's a "6 one way...half-dozen the other"[/ul]
The bike moves plenty fast for me. IM not sure I even know what Im asking here...so I'd appreciate any and all comments.
Thanks in advance....
Billy G
Hate to be the only one to say something different, but I took my true duals off. I liked the sound, but honestly all I noticed was more heat on the left side. Even with a PC3 and great dyno tune etc etc. So I took them off, put RJ's Originals heat shields on and have no more heat problems.

Sorry if Im 'hijacking' the thread...

What about staying 'stock' on the pipes andjust add either PC III or SERT? Are there any benefits to just doing that....ie lessen the heat factor?
