Mixng tires on UC07?
I know, nota good thing to mix tires, but had to try an Elite 3 on the back of my Ultra to see if they do get the mileage etc. I have read about. I installed a bias belt Elite 3, same size as the stock tire on the rear. The front is the stock D402. I noticed since the change that at slow speeds, 10-20mph, there is a slow speed wobble felt in the handlebars. High Speeds are fine. It's not a balance or runout issue, have checked that.
Has anyone else tried such a combo and felt the same thing?
Not sure if I should match up the front with another Elite 3, or write off the rear and go back to a matching D402 on the rear.
Any ideas????

RE: Mixng tires on UC07?
Dunlops historically provide less milage than some other tires especially the stock D402. But it is a sticky tire because of a softer rubber composite and has better traction and water treading than some of the others. Traction, smoothness and immediate availability are advantages I will trade off for better milage. Have a flat on the road with say a Metzler and try to get a replacement at the closest dealer. Probably will not have it but will certainly have a D402.We always stock the basic HD tires that come on the bike but not the Elites ,Metzlers,Avon or other non-stock tires.
