The more I read I'm starting to notice that nobody really uses the V&H fuel pak....Why?

Who makes the the PCIII and how much does it cost?
I believe mine was about $275 from Fuelmoto.
What other options do I have?
And if you could please help me with a little feedback on why one might be better than the other. any help is appreciatted.

You've got the PC-III which is also a piggyback, but which will modify fuel and spark timing in both directions, as necessary. It requires the use of a computer (Windows-laden; yuck) to set up initially and to modify in the finest grain. You can also do both fuel and spark individually per cylinder if you so choose. You can also increase the rev limiter from 5500 to 6200 with the PC-III; as well, there's (not so needful on our slow-revving v-twins) an "accelerator pump" feature which is very fine-grained adjustable. There's some other feature I don't use, too, but can't remember what it is; oh yeah, starting fuel addition for large engines. You can also trim cylinders front-to-back in a simplified manner even when configured for non-separate control of them. There are three buttons right on the unit for gross adjustments just (I assume) like the Dobeck and friends do.
I almost forgot. When they initially developed the H-D version of the PC-whatever, it worked without a hitch. Now, H-D has changed some of the wiring or functionality of the power circuits the PC uses, so if you turn on the ignition and wait for the fuel pump to quit spinning before you crank the starter, there will be a minor delay in starting. What's happening is when the fuel pump (and coil and injectors) lose their power about 3 seconds after turning on the ignition but not thumbing the starter, the PC also loses its power. When you thumb the starter all that stuff comes right back on, but the PC must go through its startup routine (it must "boot up") again. This is the delay. If you thumb the starter while the fuel pump is still spinning

I have a PCIII and it works great . . . however the mount is really cheezy. You wire tie the damn thing to the top of the ECM. I've heard that the fuelpac actually has a mounting bracket. I hate the way the PCIII mounts. Looks like $hit hanging there like that.

If you're going with well-known stuff and you like it, why change? If you just want to experiment, I highly recommend the PC-III.

You are the man when it comes to explaining things to us newbies. I think I'll spend a couple weeks going back and reading all your posts. Thanks for being here and thanks for all the help.

I have the sert myself but there are many options for those who do not have an 08. What i don't understand is the people using these other options and not getting a dyno done yet the say their bike runs great. How do you know? Seems to me that the dyno is the only way to really know. I could be wrong but i did not want to find out on my bike.

Well, when you have been riding for 30+ years, you DO get a little knowledge about these things....

Thanks to Y'all,
That was some wonderfull feedback.
I will go with the V&H Fuel Pak, I'm not going to do any other Mods to my bike beyond the Exhaust and Air Cleaner.it is amazing that the $400 a month I pay not only got me a great Bike, but I'm also getting a family. Reading all y'alls post has really helped me out.
His and Her's....or shallI say 2 for me.
