Default wild pig pipe question............

those of you that have the wild pigs. i see it comes with a 1 3/4 baffle. how would you compare that to the OE pipe as far as loudness ? twice as loud ? three times as loud? ect....im ordering and am wondering if i should go with bigger baffles??

It's hard to compare sound wise because I've had the wild pigs for a couple of years. They definetly have a throatier bark then the stock mufflers. They weren't super loud and I had tried thunderheader slip-ons for awhile, however it seemed like I had more torque from the wild pigs and just switched back to them.

I would have to say three times as loud under acceleration and twice as loud at cruising speed. Hope this helps.

I have Rush 1.75 and I would have to agree. The baffles are pretty much the same. I am getting used to it now though.

Every 10dB increase in sound pressure level is twice as loud. If the stock mufflers were rated at 80dB(A) (they are), then twice as loud would be 90dB(A), four times as loud would be 100dB(A), etc.

I don't think you can even compare them to stock pipes! They scream pretty good when you get on them but you can almost sneak home late at night without waking the neighbors (or wife). [sm=laughingsmilie.gif]

To compare loudness I would say they are a little louder that Ovals.

Nice sound, not overly threatenin loud. Big difference from stock. Easy to modulate between bark and whisper. Excellent value. Stick with the 1-3/4" to start, you can always go up from there but likely won't need to. Wild Pigs are a great product.
