I have Wild Pig pipes on both my '04 Ultr Classic wit the 88ci and a true dual exhaust and '08 Police Electraglide with the 103ci stock exhaust.
To begin with, the baffles a snap to change and repack. I have experimented with different sets of baffles and packing to achieve the best sound for the configurations on my bikes.
My '04 Ultra is set up witha Reinhart true dual system, high flow air cleaner and HD supertuner. I initially ran the Pigs with 2.5 baffles-OMG!!! I quickly ordered 2.0's. This was much better, but dis covered that after a day or two they got much louder and sharper. The packing had mostly blown out. Wild Pig manufactures them with some pretty chintzy packing. After purchasing some good packing I have had a much better riding experience.
On my '08 with the 103 I have the 2.5 baffles. This has stock exhaust, and it makes a difference. The 88 with dual is far louder than the 103 with stock running 2.5's. I LOVE the way that Police 103 sounds running with 2.5 baffles!!! The bike kind what you would imagine Darth Vader's motorcycle would sound like. That a good thing in a Police bike. (:

I got my WP's mounted today...took your advice and got some Vance & Hines packing from the local HD dealer,,,only $13,,,and you're right the WP packing is a thin layer and loose fitting,,,that's why it don't last very long... Fired the bike up and I really like the sound,,,but I was worried about the 2.5" baffles being to open,,,took the bike out for a spin and I was really surprised,,,kick it in the *** on a roll in first gear and it didn't stumble or nothing,,,it just got up and hauled...

+1 Buy some good packing. The back of my bike was covered in fiberglass for 2 days after installing the original WP packing. Their main store is in Daytona so I just went over and picked up a set. Nice people and they have a fantastic product. They also ride HD's and are drag racers as well. Google wildpigpipes.com.
