Now that one I like. It really breaks up all the silver and chrome on the side of the bike. Is that one of the Harley painted ones or did you paint it yoursel?

Both of mine are custom colors, but I really like the look the painted cover adds to any color bike.

Here's the colored trim ring...didn't cost much but added a lot.

These are some really great looking covers folks.

I think I need to look into doing this to mine.
I agree with whiskers...though I don't know about the price, I do know that just that little bit ofpaint doesA LOT to the looks.

Here is another option, I am thinking about trying. It is a type of colored glass. Some are even back lit. Pretty trick if you ask me...

How is the insert (part that has the cubic inches written on it)attached. Double face tape I assume. Is it easy to remove without bending it?

If you take care, you can do it without bending it. Remove the football cover, and apply heat to the back side of the cover, and pry it off. It is only held on with double sided tape.

Well, my buddy has one of the coolest air covers that I've seen.
It's not on a Harley (it's on a Indian-look-a-like-Drifter) and it's not painted but I thought I'd post it anyway.....

(btw, it's quite functional and not just for dress)
