Default So I was thinking about my pipes....

....what if?

can't i make a 2 into 1 pipe by cutting it at the Y and welding a coveroverthe hole on the right pipe?
then if i want weld the left pipe back on just for looks?

wouldn't that work?

any thoughts?

It works and works well.

Factory downpipes will "breath" well enough to support approzimately 100 RWHP.

Mufflers are your choice

Partner and three (3) local riders have exactally that set-up.

Good Luck

Try it, see if it works and see if you like the results. If so buy all the stock pipes you can and Ebay here you come.

Try using a smaller baffle on the left.

Have a freind who used a soft plug of some sort out of a chevy truck. I dont believe he had to cut anything. He got the plug from auto store, its a pretty common practice from what i understand.

The next thing I want to purchase is a set of the Bub 7 true "duels" (I don't know why they spell dual wrong) with a true crossover.

I did the oppisate.. I cut out the crossover and made true duals, I can't see why making a 2/1 wouldn't work. It sure would look stupid on my bike though
