Is this the one, cderider?

Might be dis-information to keep the competition guessing.
There's also this year old article about a watercooled Sportster seen being tested.

One of the EPA links is dead, but the other one pops up.
http://www.epa.gov/otaq/regs/roadbik...arley-pres.pdf
Note the hp is higher than the torque on these monsters, like the VRod engine.

I don't know why you would want to wait. The first model year is ALWAYS the best year.

HD will have water cooled bikes in the line in 09 - 10.
A little bird told me.
I will wait till 2012 and trade.

cderider, the EPA document appears to be legit. I backed off the url to http://www.epa.gov/otaq/
and was still able to click on links on each page, and finally arrive at a page containing the testing for various bikes, including Honda, Polaris, and these engines.
But when you get to this page:
http://www.epa.gov/otaq/roadbike.htm
note thatthey were prepared for a "workshop" on EPA regs, so the engines themselvesmay be totally bogus !
I think we've been had!

The site that "rjrivero" has in his sig, http://www.1130cc.com/ is interesting. I was just there the other day researching the Terminal Velocity II. Seems the vrods finally went closed-loop for '08 and folks are really complaining about the heat they're putting out now. I even saw mention of burnt bluejeans.
