ORIGINAL: gunrunner

ORIGINAL: 07RoadGlide

Straight from Kelly Blue Book:

1996 Harley-Davidson FLHTC Classic 2-Cylinder
4-Stroke
1340cc
Suggested Retail Value $10950* The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the unit has been fully reconditioned and is in excellent condition. Mileage/condition and additional equipment may have a substantial impact on the value shown above. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the unit's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions.

*Price Includes: w/Stereo w/Cassette & CB
Kelly blue book is a joke these days of over abundance of used bikes, yes every dealer would love to get that price but its way off base in todays market.
You ain't kidding. Just thought I'd give him a good starting point. I'd never pay KBB value for anything used, but its a good reference point for wheeling and dealing them down to a decent price. Myself, I'd look at $1500-$2000 below KBB. Gues I should have stated that in my original post.

If you want a real head scratcher, look up the nada value then the kbb value. big difference for the same bike. when your lookin to sell your bike at the dealer they'll quote you the nada price. but when your buyin they break out the kbb.
