...I would say it is a really good deal...not totally unheard-of though...when HD went 6 speed/96, there were a significant number of people who just had to have it and took incredible beatings trading in or selling their 06's to get an 07. If it's clean and what you wanted, then you can't go wrong with that price. I personally think 06 may have been the last real good year for the Big Twin....you couldn't pay me to trade my 05 for an 07 or newer...too many problems.....

I was over at Sheldon's HD in Auburn Mass the other day and they have at least 8 used 07 Tourers, RKs and EGs out front in the used section. Inside, they have an absolutely incredible 07 Ultra Screeming Eagle with the 110ci engine and more chrome and doo-dads on it then I've ever seen. It has like 10K on the clock.. and they want $28K for the thing. All I can think is someone must have had "enough" of that thing and dumped it. They have an 08 UCSE right beside it, at a paltry $37K.
Still, it isn't in me to buy any vehicle or bike and trade it in in the early years. There's no way your not going to take a BIG hit on it, unless the dealer is reallllllyyyyyyyy trying to keep you happy.

It's really surprising that so many people seem to trade in or "up" so often. We've seen a number of people out here move from 07s to 08s and I do believe for good reason with many, although I'm very happy with my 07.
