Has anyone tried to use the new adjustable air deflector kit (H-D part # 58156-08) on any bikes other than a 2008 model. I have a 2007 flhx and would like to put the kit on the bike but the dealer says that it will only work on the 08's. I like the look of this better thanthe freedom wings or the dragron flys. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

 

I wanted the same on my 06, but the moco changed the number of screws on the inner fairing in 08 so they wont fit the bolt pattern on the earlier years. I'm going to try the one from eglidegoodies.

 

It will work. The three holes in the pre 08 bikes line up but the new part has four holes, you just have to drill the extra hole in the fair and bolt it thru. There are members here who have done it. Doc

 

Once again i took the word of one of those no good lien parts guys.

He swears by them and said that it took less than 10 minutes to install in the existing holes in the fairing. You can also find them pretty cheap on eBay.

 

THey look like the Freedom Wings to me. I love mine. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

 

I ordered the freedom wings they 'll be here next week.
