Trans oil leak

Trans oil leak
On a road trip from Indiana to Oregon I found an oil leak which turned out to be an inner gasket between the engine and trans. The dealer I took it to on the road said it was a small leak and they could fix it but I would be down for 2-3 days or I could grab a qt of lube and keep going and have it fixed at home and sleep in my own bed. Took off with the oil and got home and had it fixed. Took it back 24 hrs later to have it fix again. Two months later at the 10000 mile check up the dealer called and stold me it was starting to leak again and they called HD who told them they were having trouble in the castings and they are now in the progress of replacing cases. The bike is an 07 ultra classic and you can see the gasket on the right side but the leak was underneath. Just a heads up.

I think you all should start a poll: Those who have the leak, and those that don't. Then ask of those who have the leak, who is running synthetic oil? Who is running dino oil? I think you will all be suprised at the obvious answer. Issues with synthetic oil leaks have been around since people first put synthetic in an internal combustion engine. manufacturers have improved gaskets and fittings, but the problems still exist.
