Default Scraping my SG in the turns

Has anyone modified or raised their jiffy stand and/or footboard supports on a Street Glide? I don’t mind the slow speed grinds, but when I’m in a high speed (60+ mph) sweeper and I lean over far enough to grind things it gets a bit unnerving…[sm=scared09.gif]

Sounds like your riding the bike right! I have never hit mine at 60+ but I have hit them. It is a bit unnerving but I haven't heard of a mod for them yet.

I do it all the time at low speeds, I'm not much of an extreme (over) leaner at higher speeds. I have this thing about sand/small gravel in the road, not in my body and around here (Seattle) there alwsays seems to be some lurking in the intersections. Had a Goldwing and the boards lifted more than my SG........ have not seen anything to replace them with thats worth it.

You can raise them about an inch. I just put Kuryakyn spacers on mine to push them out 3/4 of an inch. This also makes them scrape sooner so I used the top hole for the boards. The frame has two sets of holes for the floor board supports. Mine came using the lowest hole o I raised them up to the top one.

New member here, scraping is supreme control, but have you ever tagged one of those little road reflectors, makes supreme road rash

My son is a motorcycle LEO and he loves to scrape on the RK ,the back of the floorboards are razor sharp. One day he made a quick U turn and caught one of those reflectors and stopped the bike and spit him right off the bike.He did not get injured( just his pride) we both laughed about it.

I store my friends SEEG most winters. I have often taken it on the same roads I lean my softy into and scrape with mild lean (not to mention on my driveway). Makes me happy I bought a bike without boards to limit my fun...
