I have a 2007 Ultra Classic, I have had it one year , in this year I have only put 3500 miles on it because it is on the trailer most of the time. The problem is while your riding it don't matter what conditions you are in or what speed you are at, the motor just quits running, this has happened over 25 times this year I have had it back to the Stealer 3 times and it is there now for the fourth time, they keep saying thay cannot duplicate the problem, If they tell me they cannot find a problem this time, I'm going to ask for a new bike before someone finds me on the freeway with a semi up my butt. Has any one had a similar problem to this.

 

Crank Position Sensor? This wont always throw a code when it goes out. Mine would cut off when I would come to a stop at a redlight or stop sign. The dealership replaced it and I haven't had any issues since.

 

Does it go completely dead? Lights and ALL??

Could be man circuit breaker. In warmer weather, mine does the same thing, if I end up idling in traffic for any length of time.

 

They changed the crank position sensor the third time I had it in, a week later it shut down again.

 

The bike does not loose electrical power, the motor just shuts down.

 

Bad gas?? Or bad mechanic. take it to different daeler.

 

mine also randomly shuts off....its my run/stop switch....cycle it a few times and it runs again

 

25X... shessh my computer smells like a lemon or is that ur scooter.. ide be on the phone with the moco asap.. u cant ride that thing!.. try adding a 30 amp jumper fuse to your 50 amp breaker.. It worked 4 me. but mine only died 4 times or so and in very hot weather( 2003 ultra).. someone on this thread told me about the jumper.. and it works.

 

ok so ur lights stay on?? try a new cps crankshaft pos sensor!

 

cps changed...hmmmm coils???
