RE: Hesitation on 08' FBW throttle
My 08 SG goes in the shop Tuesday to find out why the throttle sticks. In other words when I let off the throttle the bike continues on it's marry way. Dealer already told me this will be a learning experience for them as they know nothing about TBW yet. I want be offended if someone would like to take some insurance out on me until HD gets this fixed.

The delay encountered from idle is there on all the FBW bikes.
Not true, I ride an FXDX and just sold an FJR, throttle response on my bike is normal for a well adjusted throttle. I just came back from a short ride and I tried to find some delay and could not. Motor spools up right away when I twist the wick without any hesitation that I can detect, if there is some delay built in it's well hidden by my stock, lean running, slow-ass800lbs RoadTurd with 65 pounding horsepower.

I guess I'm not picky enough. I don't notice any real delay with the FBW. With the mechanical cable, I always had to compensate for that little bit of lag for the grip/cable movement now it just goes. Even if there is some lag, it's nothing like the mechanical ones. I've got a feeling that something else may be going on if you notice a significant delay in the FBW system. But then again, I'm to busy ridin' and grinin'.
