Looks good Guy!

Now.... we wait.

I picked up a Craftsman thread "restorer" this week and plan to use some solvenet (laquer thinner / brake cleaner) to get the old loctite out of all the holes and then chase them all with the restore tool & they all be just like new.

The things we do to pass the time....

Yep, no better therapy!
I've always said I can take anything apart for much less than the wrenchers at the shop. And if I can't put it back together I'll have saved a lot in labor anyways.
Of course I think I'd need to videotape myself in case I need a reference for putting it back together.

At least i will have plenty of time to clean up all the parts for the reassembly. Pic below is of all the removed parts except for the crank and cases. If you tackle this yourself, lay everything out, bags the bolts, label them and take notes. Makes the reassembly that much easier.

That's gonna be one Bad Azz Bagger Dalton

I like a good challenge...myself and a couple of friends built from the ground up a complete bike...wiring and all....bought the "complete" kit and layed it all out and then stood there scratching our heads wondering if we were up to the challenge but we rode it out of the garage in less than 48 hours. grinning from just having fired it up. I said 48 hrs...assembly time with the components preassembled...by myself, paint was done by another friend all in all it took about 1 month, but the final assembly took 1 weekend.

Yep, I am sure a few jaws will drop, and all the time I will have a huge sh*t eatin grin on my face!

And Phil, you are right, the things we do to pass the time. I have to travel almost non stop for my job the next few weeks, so wont get too much accomplished, but have started cleaning, and am doing all the bolts right now. I need to look into one of them thread cleaners, but did plan on chasing the threads in all the holes. (Bet a dealer doesn't go to the detail we will)

Taterdog, have a 1-1/2 car garage under the house that is heated and air conditioned, it is my bike shop! My truck and mama's car sit out in the other garage, unheated of course.
