Has any one tried to install SG rear fender fillers to a RK . HD makes the fillers to install but they look a little cheap.

harleypingman had all the information I needed to do the job.

 

What Fast Eddie and other HDFers (including myself) have done is install the SG fear fender facia (the U-shaped piece that is on the SG with filler strips and the LED lights) on our RKs, RGs, and EGs.

If you have an RK Standard with the rear fender tip lights, you will need to fill the holes left when the fender tiplightis removed or replace the fender with one from an RKCustom, RG, or buy an SG fender (which is what I did).

Another alternative, which I haven't seen done yet, is touse the filler strips from the SE RK that doesn't have the LED lights--just match the paint and attach them to your RK Standard fender.

If you think theSG fender facia is cheap, then these mods aren't for you since what Rocket Jockey et al. have done is install these same parts on our bikes.

The SG rear facia looks great IMO. One of the easiest things I have done to this bike.

 

JTE...Here is a picture of the filler strips I have on my bike. I think they look fine when compared to the SG. I think you'll appreciate the color as well to give you a good idea of how your bike will look.
