Charlotte HD quoted me over the phone 4 hrs to install the IDS for a total of $300.00. ***'s in Rock Hill, SC installed it for 1 Hr or $69.00.

The dealership has a rate book that tells them how many hours to charge for any repairs or replacements on your bike. The Harley rate for IDS installation is 1 Hour. Most dealers charge $70.00 per hour labor rate. The IDS installation is found in the 2008 book. not in the 07 book. I think Milwaukee should find out about these experiences....Bldr

Got mine installed today. The IDS rocks! Ultra now rides like a dream. My bike was a practiceinstall for the shop since nobody in the dealership installed one yet. At first he quoted 3 hours for labor but at pay time he knocked an hour off because itdidn't take that long. I was actually impressed with the integrety of the service department. He also looked up the elbow grease thing and knocked a 100 bucks off. Recomend IDS for all
