HD of Annapolis quoted $2,500.00 in the month of Nov for the 103 upgrade.

$5,5000 for the 113...

What kind of upgrade, new jugs and new pistons and the labor to do the work. Don't tell me this included the heads and cams too.

211 SE Cams Rock! Sheitloads of mid range...... I think I would pass on a 103 short of needing a new top end. Your basically buying a .30 over bore and that unto itself is not alot on the table....Your definatelygoing to needs some cams alongwith the headsto achieve 100/100!
One of the best cams HD came out with in 07 was the 258 cams for a 103 build.
I like andrews cams.
You need to know what yer compression is gonna be and where you want the cams to come in and go out at.
I like the cams coming in around 2300 and pulling to 6000, They will talk a long time then.

I recently had the stage two 103 kit installed. These include the 255 cams. $2600 out the door SERT included. I also at the same time had them install a Baker 30 tooth power pulley for $400 more. The bikepulls likea mother between 2000-4500 RPM where I do most of my riding. I plan on doing heads this winter. Should be fun.

I just got the stage II big bore 103, cams, etc and it cost me quite a bit more. It sounds to me like a good deal. I can tell ya I appreciate the mid range boost I've experienced.

This past winter I had a builder in south Alabama to send my heads off and have them PP, and the jugs bored for the 103 build. He got Se Flat top pistons. 37 andrews cams. and put a bigger spring in the oil pump. the total build was 2600.00. He then charged me to put the Thundermax with Auto tune on it.
It turned the R's like you could not imagine. I was at 103 in 3rd gear and never hit the rev limiter. Hit 120 in 4th and never hit the rev limiter and I had a 6 speed,
The bike was so fast I don't know what top end on it was. I was scared to take it there.

This is jugs and pistons installed out the door, I am looking for SE Cams that give TQ in the low end through 4500 rpm, appreciate the advice.

I had a chance to ride Donny's bike last Saturday. The 211 SE Cams do rock, made me feel like I was ridding a Moped when I went back to my bike.

I now can't get this upgrade out of my mind. Soon as the rains come, my bike goes in for a nice boost of TQ and HP!!!!!!

My honda like pipes haven't bothered me & the heat really hasn't either, but I can't seem to handle having the slowest bike on the block.

Took bike in for the 10 k service this morning, got to talking to the service manager about a 103 upgrade, told me there is a special on the upgrade going on, $1065 all in for jugs, pistons, already have the ac and SE exhaust, told him to go ahead and do it. Firstly, is this a good deal? Want to get to 100/100 so I know I will need head work, looking at Big Boyz to do the porting and polishing, good choice without breaking the bank? Planning to do the cams myself, want to stick with SE cams, looking for advice as to which one. Will get D&D 2-1 exhaust. Already have a Tmax.
This is the email I just got from Bean at Big Boyz. If this helps ya. I plan on going to 95" jugs and pistons this winter, but am thinking I should wait until I can get the Andrews 26 or HQ 34 cams, and then get the heads [ported at the same time. Decisions, decisions.

"Hi Travis, Do you intend to run the stock cam? OK if you do, I would need to know before doing the heads. Cost is $299.00 for the porting, $25.00 to measure the combustion chambers (optional), $70.00 to mill the heads for a desired compression ratio (optional), plus shipping. You would need to jet the carb (not necessarily a jet kit) and an ignition upgrade is worth considering although not mandatory. Turnaround should be two weeks."

Feel free to give me a call.
Thanks, Bean

For what YOU want, 100/100, your on the right track. Head work and cams, along with what you already havewill get you there with no problem. I stuck with all HD parts on my last 2 builds and have had great luck, with over 25,000 miles on both bikes combined. Have a 103 stroker build now with SE 264 cams, TCC heads and pistons and she rocks!! Good luck with you build!!
