there is a guy down the road who rides a bagger.I don't get it . I mean , he isn't really that old or anything .
I asked him why and he said he shouldn't have to explain and got all defensive.
Is it because he feels safe riding something the size of a car ?
Is he just lazy and wants to riding something that he doesn't have to worry about falling over ?
It can't be because of storage because he trailers it most places and doesn't even wave when he is riding it.

Help me out zukeeper:
1. Unless someone here personally knows the guy in question, how the hell would we know why he rides a bagger? Either way, we have no way of knowing who you're talking about in this post.
A. Do you really expect us to know if he feels safer on a bagger than a non-bagger?
B. How can we know if he's lazy....we don't know the dude and you don't ID him in your post?
2. If the question is meant as a general question to younger guys who ride baggers, it's a pretty naive one for someone with as many posts as you have in this forum. For your info:
A. Baggers do fall over.
B. Baggers are not nearly the size of even the most smallest street-legal production cars.
C. Waiving is not a requirement for riding/owning ANY type of motorcycle.
Now, I don't trailer my bike anywhere. I waive to other riders. And, I'm sure my bike can/will/does fall over if I'm not careful. However as a younger rider who happens to own a bagger, here's my reason if anyone should care to know:
I ride with my 7 yr old sonmost of the time. Wego to places well out of town and most of our time riding is spent "exploring" roads, business, and areas I've never been to. Therefore, not knowing what to expect, I like having the bags to pack for an overnight stay (if the desire should strike), I like having the locking bags to put our ride gear in if we decide to take a long walk away from the bike or go in for a meal at some restaurant that doesn't let me keep an eye on the bike. And on a side note, I usually have lots of stuff to carry on my commute for work and while on local business errands...and I hate riding with a backpack, so the saddlebags are a perfect solution FOR ME.
All things about zukeeper's post being considered: Given the tenure he has on this forum, and taking the number of posts in his history, I agree with the other comment posted above....THIS IS A TROLL POST, whether the poster is a TROLL or not.
