RE: Pirateye's HQ 113" build begins, with pics--Updated 1/8/07
Michael: Thanks for posting. That is one really fast/powerful Ultra you're riding--and that it runs "awesome" is great to hear--love the tq curve, especially on a bagger.
Kevin (who did the heavy lifting) and I installed the motor in the frame early this afternoon and he's been busy re-connecting all of the connectors, etc.
The primary will go on tomorrow morning and should fire tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks again for posting, Michael.

RE: Pirateye's HQ 113" build begins, with pics--Updated 1/8/07
Hope you enjoy the new pics. The engine should fire this evening.
The build is an HQ 113" package with forged, HQ dished 10.5:1 pistons, 575 cams, HQ HVP heads,SE 50MM throttle body w/ 4.89 injectors, Rinehart 2-1 pipe, VPC clutch, Doherty Power Pacc a/c backplate, SE forged rocker supports, and HQ roller rockers.
This113" package is the same as Asuperheat's andis very similar tothe HQ 120" buildsthat Dalton and PhilM so well-documented here, and AllanW has in carbureted version. The prinicpal difference is the 113" uses a 4-3/8" crank and the 120" uses a 4-5/8" crank. And of course they are using different throttle bodies and exhaust.
