OK, now just have to find a good painter and get the quote....oh yeah and convince the wife to let me paint a brand new bike.

By the way, Bvette94, do you know what kind of seat that is or where I can find more pics of that bike. Exactly what I wanted to do, just the right amount of chrome.

Wish I had your pewter denim tins. That's the color I wanted. I couldn't afford it so I got the Black cherry standard. I am very happy with it tho!

I'm thinking that a flat black 'mod' would be simple. I know a guy who has an old BMW that he rides in addition to his EG Standard. He crashed the BMW and did the bodywork himself and shot the entire bike with flat black rattle-cans. We call it the Stealth Bike, and it really doesn't look bad at all.

I know if I decided to go with a black demin on my Street Glide, I would definitely try painting it myself first. Flat colors are much easier to paint than gloss. Anyway, I figure I can screw it up a lot cheaper myself, and only take it to a 'pro' as a last resort.

I was at the HD dealer this weekend and I’ll have to say the dark blue denim looks good.

The Harley raddle cans are very easy to work with. It is laquer paint and goes on very easy. I painted my oil tank, belt guard, and misc. pieces on my luxury rich red sporty I had. I am not a painter! Here is a pic, can you tell?

I like the look, reminds me of the ol' school hot rods, back in the day. Some flames and lowered, and ready to rumble.
