currently the hose just slips over a nipple built into the tank. I'm assuming you would need to add somthing onto the tank nipple then screw that into.... Make sure to have as little fuel as possible in the tank.... less to drain.....

Nope, it attaches to the stock nipple in the tank.

I put one of these on my night train and within 50 miles it started leaking on me (in Daytona of course). So I switched back to the stock one. It is a compression style fitting on the end that smushes an oring (or 2....forgot) around the end of the nipple. To install, you will have to have most of the gas out of the tank or it WILL make a mess.

Simple task IF the fuel is drained. Had one on for over 13k miles and no issues. Looks good.

I took my bike to the painter and had him swap the fuel line after he was finished painting my tins. Probably doesn't help you much though, sorry.

easy way to drain tank is toput a pair of needle nose vice grips on each side of line cut in the middle. now take gas can with a funnel release vice grips on one side to let gas flow in can .real easy to put new line on. i have hade mine on & off a couple of times and no leaks yet. they sell the rubber rings separate if you ever need new ones.
