From every post I have read about the gauge, that seems to be about the norm. Sorry to say it. I hope the call does something for you, but we both know it probally will not. [:@]

I have the flush mount type LED gauge with the flush gas cap and after about 3 months I started having problems with the LEDs. At first I thought they were burned out but every now and then they would come back on. Sometimes all of them sometimes one or two. It was always the left 3 that went off. I think the problem, at least with mine, is not the LEDs but the circuit that controls them. I like the look of the flush gauge and cap so I am keeping them until they quit working all together. I don't see them listed on the H-D site any more.

I've had one installed for about 2 years now with no problems however the lights are so dang hard to see I would never buy another HD model, maybe Kuryakyn. I did not wire it exactly as per HD instructions because the wire would have been visible. Perhaps the way its wired makes a difference. Before you ask, I don't recall how my is wired, a burglar alarm tech friend did it since I have no clue about wiring.
