I think I am going to trade my 07' Ultra in on an 08' Road Glide. I am going to take it in the shorts but I don't want to be riding the wrong bike the rest of my life. The dealer offered me 17K on the ultra. The new Road Glide with ABS is 18,995. They will transfer over my worthless service agreement. I am looking at a tour pack. I told them I had to ride before I buy. The salesman said he needed to talk to the GM to see if I could ride one of the 05's they have for sale. I know about the power of the 08'. I need to experience the ride. I have talked to 2 people that have them and love them. I have read the same on here. I am looking for a Harley that rides smoother in dirty air. That batwing drives me crazy sometimes.

Ride one first. Get out on the freeway and see if you can tell a difference. You'll spend some serious money to make your RG into an Ultra Glide. Tourpak alone must be 1K. I know, I'm trying to justify the expense right now. I've already put nearly 2K into my bike and riding gear.

Slash, I don't need to post any pics. The one they have that I want is the same color as yours. I am going to take my Tru Duals off my Ultra. I also just put the Thundermax w/autotune on the Ultra, wonder if they will make firmware to download for the 08's. I will also be removing my Kury hiway pegs, extenda brake and shifter levers and the new backrest I just got. T.

Now that i have submit my application to the shark clubafter buying mine today i want to tell you arent going wrong with the road glide.

 

If I did the same thing could I move my King tour & quick hardware. Brakes. wheels, XM & other billet goodies.
