I'm going to wire my GPS to the accessory plug under the seat. I know I have to get an end at the dealer to plug into the accessory plug. What does this plug look like. Are there more that 1 plug under the seat? If so how do I determine the correct one(I know nothing about meters, etc). I'm on dangerous ground here
Thanks

What you need is the mating plug for it and the 4 wire connectors too.
72114-94BK (1) Sealed socket housing $4.50
72154-94 (1)Secondary lock 4 socket $0.70
72191-94 (4) Stamped and formed socket $6.96
Easy to put it together, just check the wiring for the proper terminal in the bike socket, they all do something different.

You can splice into the ACC wire without cutting it. Just peel back the plastic insulation about 1", then wind the bare wire of the GPS + wire around it. Place a piece of heatshrink on one wire and slide it out of the way, then solder the connection. Finally, position the heatshrink and hit it with a match to shrink. You could cut the Acc. wire and use a solderless connector of some sort, but it may not hold over time.

like the pics/diagram glide.
Advantages to acc switch are that zumo's on/offis 2 buttons that have to be pushed similtaniously, on acc switch 1 switch only to turn on/off,zumo draws power even when bike sits if directly wired,no spliceing,ezy/clean to run wires under tank trim and around switch faring(nodissasembly req),who cares if mounts left on bike?when time comes? clean removel.
