I ride about 10K miles per year. And I would guess that is about 3K with the wife on her bike, 2K with her two-up, and about 5K solo.
Since this is the touring forum, I'm guessing that there are some guys putting some serious miles down. I'm just curious ... is 10K a year about average?
A lot depends on the situation. In '96 ah wuz goin' through a divorce, an' put 'bout 60k on in 15 months or so. 2 1/2 years ago ah had a bypass operation, an' did mebbe 3k miles that year. This year, ah'm on track fer 'bout 14-15k miles....
I've put almost 17,000 miles on the RG in the 5 months I've owned it. So, I've probably but close to 25,000 miles between the FXRS and the RG in the last year.
Not my best year, but 9K on the EGC and another 3K on the Valkyrie. Hope to do another 2K or more in November/December if we don't have a early snow. (gotta love that global warming!)
I did just under 15K in the last 12 months... Gotta find more time to ride!![8D]
I hear that. For me it's this working for a living that really gets in the way. Got to retire pretty soon. Life is too short. never enough sunny days. So many roads, so little time.
I bought my 1st bike (Honda Shadow 750 ) in May. I bought an Ultra in Aug. By the time frost and salt hit the roads here in MN, I should have about 13k total.
Isn't cool when you get into your car,and kind of forget how to drive "The Cage"???
10000-12000 per year is my average............and that is with a 4 month winter layoff. I do ride thru the winter, but it's very limited to the condition of the roads and the temps.
