You can get adaptors for the various connectors.
Re: Heated grips.... many complain that the temperature control burns out... maybe try not cranking them full on all the time. I bought a set for my '08, havent installed them yet as have only had the bike for a few days.

You guys aren't confused with the Battery Tender connection, are you?If so, the fuse is only 7.5 amps, or good for a max 90 watts. You're going to need a lot bigger circuit to run heated clothing.
The Gerbings have a totally different end than the Battery Tender lead.
This is the Battery Tender lead:

RE: Gerbing vs. Harley
0711 Is right... That is the battery tender plug which is the old Gerbings plug. If your buying new go with the round plugs which is what your Gerbings will come with unless you request the old style. For me the old style use to break all the time. I was contantly soldering on new ends. I have not broken any of the new connectors yet.
I runmy connector from the battery to just in front of the left side of the seat near my left thigh. That is where you will plug in the thermostat. The wifes comes out in the center of the seat where the back rest goes. (2006 Ultra).
For some reason I was able to get the HD thermostat with the case and cool little HD emblemcheaper at the HD dealer than what Gerbings sells it for. Check with our dealer....You will find most of the other Gerbings clothing sold by Harleycosts more.
If you go with just the gloves you will have to wear a glove harness, a wire that connects to your glove, goes down your arms to your thermostat... Get the liner as well and the Gloves just plug into the sleeves on the liner. I also have the pants and socks. Gerbings has always treated me right. We only live about 100 miles from the factory and its not a problem to stop in if you have a problem or just want to pick up some new stuff.
