Default Rush mufflers, which cut? want to buy today

I am buying Rush mufflers for the SG. How do the straight cuts look when put on the bike? I see most go with the slants...on way or the other.

Thanks

I got the 2" slash down for my 06 SG, some decel pop but not to bad. They were easy to install and look good. I got them thru American Classic Motors for $250 plus shipping about a month ago.

Slash down!!! Up or straight you get more residue on the bags. I have the 1.75 and have no decel pop and they sound great.

I personally like the Rush muffs that you add the tips to...the tips are billet chrome and even make the muff sound better, IMO. If you get the slant cut tips, they can be rotated to suit you.

I think the slash ups look better because the cut usually pretty much matches the angle of the bags and the just look a little neater to me, and no I'm not a detail freak.Just my opinion,. thats why they make the different cuts, I really like the big turndowns but I wouldn't wanna blow dirt and dust and all the other crap in the parking lots all over other peoples stuff

swipter:

Had the straight cuts on for a lot of miles and was satisfied with the look. Rush replaced my slip-ons due to some yellowing at the inlet which theyclaimed was a bad batch of chrome. Dealer parts mgr. screwed up and ordered the slash down replacements by mistake. Since I was needing the slipons immediately for a next day ride, I went ahead and put them on. I actually think the slash-down look better.

But it's all a part of personal preference.

Whatever style you choose, the Rush slipons are a great product!
