RE: Got bit by the Dragon
ms3300 - I replaced my 05 RKC bars with "extended reach" bars from the dealer. Don't have the number but mineare about 2" inches closer and just right for me, I'm 6'1" too. They also routed the wires inside while they were at it, looks much better.
Windup08 - try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPjYweKeiLk Not aHarley but the principals are thesame. And it works on an Ultra, unfortunately I know from experience.

On a slight different note to this subject....is there a good, better, or best way to pick up a bike when it goes down like this? I know even a Dyna is extremely heavy to pick when just trying to muscle it up by the handlebars. I've seen rider training for Goldwingers that used a method of putting your back to the bike, grabing a roll-bar in each hand and then walking backwards until it up....even saw a little 100 pound lady pick one up, but don't know if a harley has good solid points to grab hold of....I know my Dyna didn't. How do you pick up and Ultra or SG?? Mine hasn't gone down (yet), but it sure feels like a heavy monster.

Grab one hand on the bars and bring to full lock position, then grab rear saddle bag guard with other hand and walk it up backwards. And yes, I dropped it.

If it fell on the right side, it is a good idea to extend the jiffy stand so that if it gets away from you as you are righting it, the jiffy stand might keep it from falling over onto the other side.
I only know this because my friend dropped his several times. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Sorry to hear about you dropping your bike but it's really not that hard to do. I think most of us have done it. When my wife was learning to ride all we had for her to learn on was my Road King. I picked that thing up time after time. It gets to be pretty easy after while. I dropped it myself once by hanging my hiway peg in some junk on a tight u-turn, hell there's all kinds of ways to drop one . If you haven't dropped it yet just be patient, you'll get your chance. what happened to my font it just changed on me?

That is the way to pick up a downed bike. I've picked up several fully-loaded HD dressers (with wife off the bike) using this technique. I couldn't view the mytube video, but there is a small-framed woman who gives this demonstration at BMW rallys using an LT. Next time I need to get my wife to do it.

RE: Got bit by the Dragon
I'm hoping to do the Dragon next year, but I've heard much about it and think it's one of those things thatI have to prove to myself I can do. I almost dropped my SG at the WAWA store Monday, I stopped to let someone out and as I was turning into a spot I gripped the front brake too much and over she started to go, I just got so pissed that I muscled it back before it went all the way. Of course there were plenty of people to see me. I've dropped my Heritage and Sportster and both are a bear to right.
