Default Engine heat vs IDS ?????

I just got a newsletter from local dealer. They're offering a free upgrade that shuts down the rear cylinder when at idle to reduce engine heat. They will even returnit to normal if you don't like it. I didn't think they'de do anything"non gratis".Yet when it comes to the IDS problem, they either haven't heard of it, or won't work with you.Struck me as being a little weird....

Heard of that. I think it is a one time deal. The IDS thing is dealer specific.

I would try the IDS thing. They sure aren't offering that from Bob Dron in Oakland where I bought mine. Guess it brings up the old proverb don't look a gift horse in the mouth...anyone know where that saying came from? I looked it up and got this
http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/117000.html . Anyone already know this.

I have been told it really does not reduce the engine temp. It is mainly for the comfort of the rider.

Here in Phx. it kinda feels like engine heat all around. Haven't noticed anything excessive with my bike, think I'll just leave it as is...

do they make a fan set up for the '07 yet. My bike gets hot quick in town. Curious if this works on the '07 as the site old offers up to '06 models. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

If you have a dealer that says the IDS Elbow Grease special is dealer specific, don't walk, run to the next closest dealer. They are lying!!
