Default PCIII coming should I zero the throttle now or wait and see

I have a PCIII usb coming. Should I go ahead and zero the throttleor install it and ride it to see how it does? Most of the posts on here say to say to zero the throttle. I know it will not come like this from Jaime.

Thanks

You will have to set 0 throttle. I would set 0 and 100. Takes like 2 seconds more.
You need to get it up to full operating temp before you do this.
I put mine on road it until warm and did the reset.

So should I take the PCIII to the computer or do I need to take the computer to the bike to do this? I don't have a laptop.

Thanks for the help.

All that's happening is you're telling the Power Commander what voltages from the throttle position sensor are present at full open and full closed throttle. Without that information, one of the two main criteria the computer uses to decide what to do when will be out of whack and the expected results will not come about.

So I guess I will lug the computer to the bike. Better read the instructions before I start the process. I would surely hate to fry it on the first day. I did read not to power it using the ignition switch and the 9 volt. I believe that's what I read, anyway. Thanks everyone.

Needs to be done...However you can do it on a cold bike, turn the ignition on but do not start and use the 9-volt power cable to power it up.
Only takes a few seconds.
