I was leaving a friend's house tonight, and I noticed after pulling away my volt gauge was all the way to the left (8 volts). Very odd because she fired right up, head and spotlights were normal, running fine. I headed for home and watch it eventually creep up then it was bouncing around some. I stopped for gas and she started right back up and the gauge settled down between 12 and 14 where it usually is. I've only had the bike three months, 5300 miles. Should I worry about it and take her in? I read onhere about people having gaugesacting up and there's nothing really wrong. It's supposed to be really nice this sunday and I don't want my baby sitting in the stealer's service bay on my day off.....

Verify that the battery is getting 13.8u - 14.2 volts when running, using a volt meter.
There are only two (2) wires running to the volt meter.
Simple removal of outer fairing, if you have one, remove the two (2) retaining nuts and the gague is out.
Back on the road in an hour
