The part number for the K&N filteris 2210-9494.
Does this replace just the SE Air Filter or is this the whole assembly including backing plate. If this is just the filter what is the advantage over the SE?

The Autozone number should be KN2210-9494. They probabily don't stock it.A lotHD dealers have the K&N, or will get it for you.

Thanks for the help!I tried the K&N HD-0800 and it did not fit my 2008 FLHX.The mounting holes did not line up.HarlyFan,I'm talking about just the airfilter only.No backing plate.K&N are known to be one of the best filters. Is it much better that the SC filter?I don't know, but I have always used K&N and have always had good service out of them.

Do you plan on running with the Football cover or open?

HarlyFan,I plan on keeping the stock football cover.I have always liked the stock cover but that's just my opinion.By the way, nice looking bike!I saw a 2008 crimson red Street Glide at the H-D Dealership in Augusta,GA and it really stood out.Since then I have been wanting to see that color in the direct sunlight.Ride Safe!

Harley Fan, how do you like the Bub 7's?
Do they sound different, in your opinion, from the standard RHTD with black tips? I like the sound of the regular RHTD's, but they're everywhere and I'd like something different w/o being too loud. (too many neighbors).

Trading out my 06 RK for an 08UC in two tone red. (the colors are fantastic in the sunlight)

I'm giving big thought to the 103 kit, intake, and a RH exhaust first thing.
thanks

I phoned K&N about the filter kit for the '08 touring bikes... they figure it will be available within the next few weeks. I sent them back my RK3909 Filter Kit which I purchased thinking if it worked on an '07 it would work on an '08... wrong! Anyway, good outfit, they will give meback whatI paid for it... even though I bought it from a dealer that wouldn't give me a refund.
