Default Breathable Balaclava?

Looking for a balaclava that will not fog up my glasses when I breath. Anyone?

The only Balas that I have ever had that didn't fog up goggles were Nomex and the goggles had to be adjusted a touch on the tight side. The only otherBala that I have owned was a woven winter weight one that the Army issued me. If you wore it under goggles, they would fog up in a second. Nomex is not a great insulator though....so, I'm not much help. Like Harlyfan with his new badazz scoot said, maybe there is one made just for bikers.

I bought mine at sportsman warehouse for $12. It will fog up the g;asses if you breathe normally, only while stopped. What I found was if I intentionally breathe out hard through my mouth, my glasses do not fog at all. While moving it shouldn't matter, but at stops I breathe different to avoid the fog. IMO.

Try silk. I have one but it has been so long since I used it that I do not remember for sure but I don't recall having that problem.

I use my double layer Nomex fire hood. Keeps me warm and is less itchy than other hoods that I have tried.

I do need to pull it down to expose my nose at stop lights, otherwise I'm fogging up. Gives no fog while in motion though.

Go to www.ems.com and type in balaclava. They have silk and fleece. I havefleece, usefor hunting & riding the scoot and have never had trouble with foging up the glasses. The balaclava can also function as a scarf....
