Default ???s for Motor heads

I'm thinking of getting the GMR 107 kit (listed below) for my 07 SG which has PCIII, Rinehart Tru Duals, and SE Air.

the ?s are

1. what other parts do I need to go along with this

2. from reading all the post most agree that this isthe way to go --- Iwant to be faster than the 103'sin my club---any other kits to consider

3. does anyone know a reputable engine builder in GA that can do it

Thanks in advance

We have a great kit for the guys and gals with the new 07 96 cubic inch bikes. Being that the 96 inch engine already has a stroker crank stock, we offer a bolt on cylinder and piston kit that will take you beyond the 103 level straight to a 107 inch. This is CNC porting your heads. This kit with the flat top piston will yield 10.1 compression based on stock cc volume. Compression can be raised or lowered if you so desire. This kit has made 121hp and 128 tuned
· 10.1ForgedJE pistons with rings, clips and pins
· Andrews 55g cam and install kit
· Complete MLS top end gasket kit
· Stage III CNC-Cutting your heads cut on 6 axis CNC
· New guides tapered and diamond honed
· New viton seals
· New Ferrea 1.9 intake valve
· New Manley 1.625 exhaust valvescut down ( that allows a 80% margin= great for flow) full radius valve job
· Milled to CC needed for compression based on cam choice
· New springs and set to correct seat pressure for the 55G
· Machine and install compression release's
· GMR custom made chromemoly 3/8 adjustable pushrods ( these are not quick install, if you want a quick install type please specify at time of ordering)
We can also pre gap the rings for you, as well install your cams into your plate. The cost for fitting rings is $40 and $30 for cam install, If you do both we will discount that to $60 for both services. Please let us know how we can assist you, we are here to help and to ensure your build goes as smooth as possible. We do have ahead & cylinder exchange program please enquire.
$2,295.95 96 inch to 107 kit with gear drive cams * plus shipping
$1,995.95 96 inch to 107 kit with chain drive cams * plus shipping

Take a look at the packages offered by Head-Quarters:

http://www.head-quarters-usa.com/sporttouring06.html

The 113" kit uses the HD Bigger Bore cylinders (4.060" bore), forged pistons custom fit to the honed cylinders, pistons with rings istalled and gapped, etc.

A really good feature is that the packages come with a map (SERT or PCIII) that is very close to an optimal tune that you can load and ride the bike immediately after the build is complete.

Also, HQ is now offering an EFI Pro Tuner that uses your O2 sensors to maintain the a/f of your PCIII or SERT map.

Dalton, PhilM, and Pirateye on this Forum are doing 113" HQ builds.

Good luck.

Ikro- i put this build into a Dyna late last year and put the Fatcat on this. I made 121/128tq. Once i had the tune done, the bike ran beautully and was just a ton of fun to ride.

I'm now getting the 107kit with the 615/585 cam and the R&R heads setup as i have moved to an '07 SG with HP Inc 55mm T.Body and the Fatcat. I have no doubt that it will pull really well down low and continue to pull to the redline.

Parts you may want to look at would be using the SE upgraded injectors for the stock T.Body.
If you wanted to look at other kits, then the Headquaters 103 build and the 107kit from HillsideCycle.com are the go.

any of these builds will stomp on 103 kits and would be lots of fun in Baggers- i will find out very soon.

I have a GMR 107" build but opted for better heads, aftermarket cylinders, higher compression, gear drive cams, and an enlarged throttle body. Great company to deal with.

You'll need to upgrade your clutch. The TPP lockup is a pretty good unit. There are others that are equally compatible.
