Default Aftermarket stereo

I put a pioneer 200 watt stereo with 4 speakers in the fairing in and I was wondering if anybody here know if the biketronics interface can be wired to work with a pioneer stereo. Thanks for any information

you may want to do a search if you haven't done it all ready. There are a couple post about after market radios and also a link to Biktronics. I had a customer that installed a flip screen in his SG. It looked pretty cool except he lost the hand controls. I know that the aftermarket companies make harnesses so you can adapt an after market radio for a vehicle and not loose your steering wheel controls. You should see the looks he gets going down the road with a movie playing.

Call Mike, the owner, at biketronics.com and ask him or visit the website; it lists a number of headunits that work with their interface unit.

Also, Hawg-wired makes a similar product that may work with a Pioneer headunit.

In either case you will most likely need the model number of what you have to get a definitive answer. You might edit your original thread to provide the model number; someone may have already done this with what you have.

I think it can be done, but you are going to need the Pioneer and Sony wiring diagrams to get the correct positions of the wires. Make sure you add some type of marine radio cover to keep moisture out or you will be replacing your unit.

The biketronics will work some of the functions right out of the box. You can get the PAC SWI Jack and with a little time and some soldering you can have all of your functions. Go to Pac's sight and you can download the install directions
