Back in 2004 my wife was around 4-5 months pregnant, and she wanted to ride as long as we took lot's of breaks. That summer we trailered the bike to Sturgis and stayed in a cabin at Custer state park. During that week we put over 1200 miles on the Road King. I was very proud of her , she didn't complain to much. Durring the trip I must say I was very worried about her and the baby's safety. After our Sturgis trip she didn't want to ride on the Bike as much anymore. She said she was just starting to feel uncomfortable and that was fine with me I would never make her do something she did'nt want to do.
My son is now 11 months old and my wife has only been on the bike one time sense he was born, and that was on a Bike night last summer. We only spent one hour there becuse we couldn't stop thinking about him. I think I did Bike night two or three times by my self, every time I felt gilty. I am seriously thinking about a side car to take my family along.

Momma always knows best or else!

I am seriously thinking about a side car to take my family along.
Get a tour pak! - They rattle around a little in there but I use packing peanuts to soften the ride for him

I took my pregnant wife for a long ride. She was very tired, but other than that no problems.

She was 20 minutes along!!

You should try a side car.

If she is uncomfortable then let it be. Don't force into something she does not feel good about. She will be ready at her own pace, if you force the issue it will be even longer if at all when she is ready to ride. She is thinking about the little one, which tells me she is a sensible good woman. Your a lucky man. In the mean time, ride safe. They are counting on you!

My wife and I have resigned to the idea that now the bike is my hobby.. so I go do the bike nights and the usual things, toyruns etc and it gets me out of her hair for a while.. kind of like golf, except playing golf can only kill your ego. hehe

I do agree that after our son was born, pregnant again or not, neither she or I felt too comfortable with both of us on the bike. It may be overly cautious..

All it takes is one old blue hair, that can't hear herself fart and can't see S&(%, to decide to pull out infront of us on a bike in her old 72 oldsmobile and then our kid is orphaned.. not cool.

So it works out.. Mommy couldn't care less about riding anyway. It's my thing.

I think I would NOT want my wife to ride.

The thought of what damage a good hard bump might cause is frightening.

You have no idea what pain is my friend till you have to live thru something like that! Welcome to parenthood, hardest job in the world! Now quit crying about riding alone and go take care of your wife man!
