I had the Santee 225 Duals on my Classic VERY LOUD and since they are duals the sound is superb, very deep. You can get them for the price of the "name brand" slip-ons. If you go that route get the long baffles and the heat shields.

Here's a pic.

Hmmmmmmm...... Rineharts or Thunderheaders........ hmmmmmmmmmm.

I have at least heard the Rineharts... and I do like them. But the Thunderheaders seem impressive too. Has ANYONE heard the D&Ds at all? One guy told me that the D&Ds were #1 rated in Dyno performance testing.

I am REALLY appreciating all the suggestions.....

Rush slip ons are terrific. I put the baloney cuts on my Ultra and they sound awesome.. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them.

The look awesome... but how do they sound? Are they as loud as the Rineharts or Thunderheaders?

Also, just looking at eBay... I see that there are Rush 2.25", Rush 2.5" and Rush 3.5"... what do you suggest for LOUD & gruff sound? Which do you have?

Deep and throaty rumble.Theyroar when you get on it. Going through town is a low but distint thunder sound. No tinny or ball bearing rolling around in garbage can sounding. In talking to the guys at the HD store, they said every set of Rineharts they sold this year had the black tips turn a red color. They were fuming over this and recommended I didn't buy them. I saved over 200 bucks going with the Rush with removable baffles.

WOW! That sounds important? Have you had the chance to compare your Rush pipes to the Rineharts? How do they compare?

I got the 3.5" slip on baloney cuts, they come stock with the 2.25" baffles. The 2.5" baffles are the loudest.

Compared to Rineharts, they are equally as loud. I've not heard them against Thunder yet.

I don't suppose you would happen to have a video (with sound) of your bike running? Just that I have never heard of these before today, and I would like to have an idea of what they sound like.
