Default 08 Street Glide Saddle Bags

i just got my Street Glide a couple days ago. My bags are hard to open and close. It also looks like where it catche under that lip its not flush looking. like only half of the lip is under that bracket. I also just put on a quic releas sissy bar for the ole lady and now my bags look like there at a slight v shape. the gap at the top between the bag and fenderis wider than the bottom. is that norm or did i do something wrong?

Bags can be adjusted. Lids will get easier to operate as time goes by.

I installed the same items on my RK, noticed that the instructions called for some washers and spacers that made my bags sit just the way you described. I used the thinner spacers and now you can barely notice. I hope this helps.

You have to get the right spacers in the right spots or the saddle bag lid will touch and rub the bolt end that holds the plastic bushing when the bike shakes at idle. properly installed, the bags will lean out just a bit at the top.
