Satellite radio not as loud as regular radio
I have a 07 Street Glide with the Hogtunes speakers in the fairing and the Hogtunes amp. Playing the radio or a CD and this set up really jams.
But....I just added a Sirius Starmate 3 which is sitting in my saddlebag until I get around to buying a handlebar mount for it. When I switch from radio or CD to Sirius, it is not nearly as loud. To the point that you cannot even hear it going above 60mph. When you turn the volume on the radio all the way up, it is just a distorted mess. But everything works great on the radio and CD.
The volume on the Starmate is tuned up all the way and the gain setting on the amp is up all the way. Has anyone else noticed problems with satellite not being as loud? Thanks in advance.

RE: Satellite radio not as loud as regular radio
On the RG I have a XM Sportscaster with built-in FM Mod... Mounted about 8" or so from the radio (above the ign switch) and running a hidden antenna in the fairing & it sounds GREAT... I seldom listen to the AM\FM or the CD... And have had very little loss or bleed from other Radio stations... (And living in So Cal you know there's a bunch of stations)...
