I've lowered my Glide 1" up front and its look is much better. If you lower the already lowered backend it will look as if you've done so. Spend the money and have the front done so it has the correct geometry. I think it's just in my head but I had the rear suspension and tires filled with nitrogen and IMO it smoothed out the lowered ride a little bit.
