You must present an official letter from a Chief or Department Represenative on letterhead stating you want to purchase this motorcycle for personal use. They are avalible to Shriner's, Funeral Director's, City Officials and Officer's of any capacity (volunteer, retired etc). IF not, look fora used model. Some Dealers like my own donate one to local Universities or City, Countydepartments for a one year. These units do not come out of a current allocation. Makes the Dealer look good, less tickets in our case and is an extra bike at the end of the year. Some of these models can have low mileage and are almost guaranteed to have all services completed.

or Gutman, you have to be in the right place at the right time, like me. My bike is a brand new 07 police bike off the showroom floor. no miles when I picked it up. I don't know if it was ordered for some county or what. But, I know they were able to sell it to me. I do know that if a polce bike sits for six months unsold at a dealership, the dealer can sell it to a civilian. I believe this was the case with my bike. I found out after I purchased my bike that it sat in the warehouse since June of this year. it's still under six months but I bought the bike and ran. got it for $15,500. I was searching for that bike. I woud have purchased a lease return, but a new one popped up. You get the 103 motor, oil cooler, abs brakes, heavy duty alternator, black and chrome engine....what's not to like??????
